Bringing your old pieces back to life
Our passion for our profession leads us to constantly innovate and imagine pieces with more sustainable and responsible manufacturing processes. This season, we wanted to go further in our approach by supporting upcycling and circular economy initiatives. How? By setting up a clothing collection in all our Devernois stores.
It was time to breathe new life into these archives, carefully preserved at our customers' premises. These creations bear witness to a history, to historical know-how, to women and men who, generation after generation, have used their skills and talent to create pieces of exceptional quality. To make this project a reality, we called on the Tissons la Solidarité association.

Let's Weave Solidarity
Tissons la Solidarité is a professional reintegration association, which works to raise awareness of more responsible consumption and the circular economy. “Because finding work is never easy”, the association allows 2,000 employees to return to work per year, regardless of their career path, by training them in textile professions. A real springboard to the future! The project? Support the Association's upcycling workshops by setting up a clothing collection in all our Devernois stores. The Association then took charge of upcycling them to create new pieces, which will then be resold in 125 solidarity points of sale in its network. In their upcycling workshops, magic happens. The old makes way for the new.

Each thread, each piece of material is reused, unstitched, sewn back together, reassembled, washed, ironed, to make a new piece. A pair of pants becomes a skirt, a dress becomes a top. Making something new out of something old. Drawing on the roots of historical know-how, combining skills and knowledge, to give it a new life, and contribute to this circular and supportive economy.
At the end of this operation, we collected 74 boxes of clothes, ready to find a second life! To find out more about the Association: tissonslasolidarite.fr
N.B.: Upcycling is defined as transforming a second-hand object, in this case a piece of clothing, into a new piece to give it a second life.
